Nadiia Chervinska

Nadiia is a historian of intellectual and gender history, focusing on feminist cultural and political thought in the 20th century. She is an ÖAW DOC Fellow at the University of Vienna and Research Assistant on the ERC project HERESSEE—The History of Feminist Political Thought and Women’s Rights Discourses in East Central Europe 1929–2001. In her dissertation, she reconstructs feminist intellectual traditions in post-independence Ukraine and their interventions in debates on national identity. Nadiia coordinates the Global Invisible University Graduate School (CEU) and RUTA—Association for Central, South-Eastern, and Eastern European, Baltic, Caucasus, and Central and Northern Asian Studies. She holds a BA and an MA in Philosophy from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and an MA in Comparative History from Central European University.
