Paul D’Anieri

Paul D’Anieri is a Professor of Political Science and Public Policy. He is an expert on Eastern European and post-Soviet politics, focusing on Ukraine and on Ukraine-Russia relations. He is author of Understanding Ukrainian Politics: Power, Politics and Institutional Design (2007), International Politics: Power and Purpose in Global Affairs (2017), and Ukraine and Russia: From Civilized Divorce to Uncivil War (2023), now in its second edition. His research has appeared in Comparative Politics, East European Politics and Societies, and Journal of Communist Studies and Transition Politics.
