Mariia Prokopenko is a PhD student at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Her dissertation title is ‘Master of Propaganda’: Artist Adolf Strakhov (Braslavskyi) and His Posters in the Context of His Relationship with the Bolshevik Authorities in Ukraine. Her academic interests include cultural life and propaganda in Soviet Ukraine during the 1920s and 1930s. Mariia works at the Treasury of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the international exhibition and scientific projects sector, where she coordinates the DIGICURE (“Digital Cultural Resilience and Protection”) project.
