Armen Tonoian is a PhD student in History at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.” He is interested in modern history of Ukraine, history of nations, and intellectual history. In his current research, he focuses on the activities of the Ukrainophiles within the journal “Osnova” circle (1861–1863).
