Yevhen Yashchuk

Yevhen Yashchuk is a DPhil Student in History at the University of Oxford, where his dissertation project looks at the transimperial history of the Great Eastern Crisis with a focus on Kyiv and Lviv in 1875-1878. Between 2022 and 2025, he served as a main student coordinator and mentor of IUfU and continues to be involved in the program in various capacities. He is also a member of the steering committee at the Oxford Ukraine Hub and co-editor of Visible Ukraine and Peripheral Histories. He is interested in the imperial and postimperial past, with a research focus on the second half of the nineteenth century.
