Exposing Injustice: German–Ukrainian Students for Human Rights

Are you interested in digital investigations, human rights, and international justice? Do you want to work with students in Germany and Ukraine to expose war crimes and strengthen accountability?

Bard College Berlin, the Center for Urban History in Lviv, and the Invisible University for Ukraine invite 20 motivated students pursuing a BA or MA degree (10 from Germany and 10 from Ukraine) to join a unique transnational research and advocacy initiative.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?

This project combines open-source investigation training and wartime documentation expertise from Ukraine.

Students will research and document violations of international law in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine and contribute to a professional public report that supports justice and accountability efforts.

The project follows a ‘learn by doing’ approach: Training → Collaborative investigation → Publication → Civic action. It is supported by the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ).

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    • Learn open-source research methods and tools
    • Practice evidence preservation, verification, and geolocation
    • Work with the Telegram Archive of the War
    • Develop ethical, safety, and resilience practices

        • Receive mentoring in project design, budgeting, and implementation.

        COLLABORATE ACROSS BORDERS
